Role Overview
Lead daily hotel security operations and support the protection of guests, colleagues, visitors, and assets.
Coordinate security staffing, training, patrols, incident response, emergency management, and loss prevention activities.
Security Operations
- Brief officers on security plans, incident response, escalation procedures, and specific daily tasks.
- Maintain rosters, arrange shifts and leave, assign duties, deliver training, and ensure all security positions are covered.
- Complete logs, investigate incidents and complaints, document accidents, and escalate matters requiring management action.
- Conduct security and fire patrols, identify hazards, inspect assigned areas, and monitor contractor and colleague compliance.
Systems and Emergency Response
- Monitor CCTV, access control, visitor management, alarms, employee identification, remote monitoring, and related security systems.
- Respond to emergencies, contact local emergency services, manage the security response team, and participate in the Loss Prevention Emergency Management Team.
- Handle lost and found inquiries, maintain equipment and supply inventories, and conduct security and safety checks.
Qualifications
- A high school certificate or equivalent and a SIRA Supervisor license are required.
- At least one year of hospitality security, police, or military experience is required.
- Good verbal and written English, firefighting equipment knowledge, and CCTV operation knowledge are required.
- First aid and CPR training, intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, and emergency and evacuation knowledge are required.
