- Perform and manage complex and sensitive professional urban planning and design tasks, research and analysis
- Review, monitor and ensure compliance with local and international standards
- Gather, compile, and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting developments
- Develop technical inputs to support delivery of high quality plans, reports, and presentations
- Maintain contact and coordination with multiple external agencies involved in translation of Government's development mandate
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or closely related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive urban planning and design experience
- Experience in producing master plans, conceptual designs and illustrative layouts
- Creative thinking and in depth understanding of current best practices
- Thorough understanding of local statutes and planning rules and regulations
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project
- Master's degree in Urban Planning/Design or Architecture (desired)
- Professional certifications such as AICP, RTPI (desired)

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join the team in Dubai, UAE.
- The role involves working on marquee urban development projects and creating master plans that will change the fabric of cities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform and manage complex and sensitive professional urban planning and design tasks, research and analysis.
- Review, monitor and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Gather, compile, and analyze data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting the developments.
- Develop technical inputs to support the delivery of high quality plans, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain contact and coordination with multiple external agencies involved in the translation of the Government's development mandate and master plan objectives into work plans.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture or closely related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive urban planning and design experience working on a variety of projects.
- Experience in producing master plans, conceptual designs and illustrative layouts.

- Ability to involve and represent wide range and diverse interests in the development planning and design process and to reconcile conflicting demands.
