Role Description
The Senior Trade Finance Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role manages and executes trade finance transactions and oversees daily trade operations.
The role supports product development, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Issue, confirm, and settle letters of credit and other trade-related instruments.
- Ensure compliance with international trade rules and internal policies.
- Monitor trade portfolio risk exposure and review trade documentation.
- Liaise with clients and correspondent banks and resolve operational issues.
- Provide guidance on trade finance structures and support product improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in trade finance instruments, including letters of credit and documentary products.
- Finance knowledge covering credit risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.
- Hands-on trade operations experience in processing, reconciliation, and documentation control.
- Knowledge of international trade flows and complex transaction structuring.
- In-depth understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, URC, and URDG.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- Similar senior trade finance experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and compliance skills.
- Professional trade finance certifications and additional regional languages are advantageous.
