Role Description
The Senior Financial Institutions Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role develops and manages strategic relationships with banks, financial institutions, and key partners across African markets.
The position supports Monfi's cross-border banking and payment offerings.
Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard institutional partners and negotiate commercial and operational agreements.
- Manage correspondent banking, liquidity, and settlement frameworks.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, product, and technology teams on partner capabilities and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor African market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity.
- Provide insights to leadership and drive regional footprint and revenue growth while maintaining governance and service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong relationship management and business development expertise with African banks and financial institutions.
- Experience in correspondent banking or cross-border payments and knowledge of digital banking and payment ecosystems.
- Knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements for African and international banking operations.
- Analytical and strategic planning skills, including complex deal structuring and financial and operational data interpretation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- A master's degree or professional certification such as CFA or ACAMS is advantageous.
- Typically 7 or more years of banking, fintech, or financial services experience with African market exposure and institutional client management.
- High integrity, adaptability, and problem-solving ability.
