Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, assembly, and refurbishment of rolling mill rolls and roll shop equipment
- Carry out roll changing, grinding coordination, bearing assembly/disassembly, and roll inspection
- Ensure rolls are prepared and available to meet production schedules
- Inspect rolls for wear, cracks, and defects, and recommend repair or replacement
- Coordinate with the rolling mill, maintenance, and production teams to minimize downtime
- Maintain roll shop records and follow all safety and quality procedures
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance, assembly, and refurbishment of rolling mill rolls and roll shop equipment
- Ability to perform roll changing, grinding coordination, bearing assembly/disassembly, and roll inspection
