Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance management
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies
- Manage month end and year end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by team members
- Monitor project costs, operating expenses, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and operating expenditures (OPEX)
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, VAT/GST requirements, statutory reporting, and audit requirements
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate governance policies
- Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and KPI dashboards for senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 8–12 years of accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools

Job Overview
- We are looking for the Senior/Team Lead Accountant having experience MUST in OIL & GAS industry to lead the accounting team and oversee financial operations.
- The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with applicable accounting standards, effective cost control, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- The role requires leadership capabilities, technical accounting expertise, and hands on experience with upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas accounting processes.
