Role overview
CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Buildings team.
The role provides technical leadership across building projects and includes mentoring structural engineers and fostering client relationships.
The position is hybrid and can be based in the Bowmanville or Mississauga office, with two days at the office.
Primary responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, project management, business development, and client relationship building.
- Coordinate technical work and manage projects across disciplines.
- Oversee or directly contribute to structural building design across multiple sectors.
- Perform feasibility studies, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and technical assessments.
- Analyze construction methods and prepare cost estimates.
- Provide technical support during construction remotely and on site.
- Work with project teams from conceptual and preliminary design through completion.
- Ensure compliance with the quality assurance and control program.
- Manage project delivery, including financial performance, change orders, and submissions.
- Prepare proposals.
- Lead the design of concrete, steel, and mass timber structures.
