Senior Strategic Planning Specialist

Job Purpose

Strategic Planning and Implementation

• Assist in drafting strategic and operational plans aligned with the federal government's approved methodology.
• Support implementation of strategic and operational plans with organizational units and the Prime Minister's Office.
• Contribute to mechanisms for evaluating strategic plans, projects, and programs before, during, and after implementation.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor progress toward the strategic plan and develop performance reports for organizational units and leadership.
• Propose and track performance indicators in coordination with the Prime Minister's Office.
• Support performance improvement plans based on evaluation outputs and results.

Policy and Strategy Alignment

• Review policies, national strategies, and sectoral work agendas for alignment with federal government requirements and directives.
• Provide recommendations for refining and updating policies and strategies to improve organizational performance.

Future Foresight and Risk Analysis

• Apply scenario-planning and risk-assessment tools to support future foresight activities.
• Identify strategic risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve organizational responsiveness and flexibility.
• Prepare reports on foresight and risk findings for forward-looking leadership decisions.

Stakeholder Coordination and Partnerships

• Support communication and collaboration plans with internal and external stakeholders to align with strategic goals.
• Assist in managing strategic-partner relationships, including preparation and review of memorandums of understanding.

Self-Management

• Define annual performance goals with the line manager and work toward achieving them.
• Identify training and development needs with the line manager and complete agreed training.
• Maintain professional proficiency through continued education and awareness of current issues.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• At least six years of experience.
• Partnership management experience is preferred.
