Senior Sourcing Manager

Job Purpose

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop strategic sourcing practices and category sourcing strategies.
• Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation actions.
• Optimize total cost of acquisition or ownership while meeting quality and timeline expectations.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Management

• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and proactively plan sourcing activities.
• Clarify and negotiate scopes of work with business stakeholders.
• Understand business goals, targets, initiatives, and supplier performance requirements.
• Challenge demand, manage expectations, and communicate procurement policies and processes.

Sourcing and Negotiation

• Translate requirements into RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Execute sourcing events using the corporate e-sourcing platform.
• Create pre-negotiation plans and lead supplier negotiation sessions.
• Conduct post-negotiation debriefs and follow-through plans.
• Create cost models and purchase price analyses.
• Negotiate costs, terms, and conditions with shortlisted vendors.

Contracts and Suppliers

• Prepare and implement supplier contracts and commitments.
• Evaluate contractual terms and compliance with Legal and business units.
• Monitor, report, manage, and improve supplier performance.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews with key vendors.
• Analyze procurement spend, supplier markets, and external benchmarks.

People Management

• Manage and coach sourcing specialists and procurement executives.
• Coach other Sourcing Managers for the categories they cover.
• Allocate projects, supervise execution, and ensure compliance with procurement processes.
• Help team members develop technical knowledge and best practices.

Education and Experience

• Graduate in any discipline, preferably with a Finance or Engineering background.
• MBA is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar procurement role.
• UAE and centralized procurement experience is preferred.
• Hands-on IT or Technology category management experience is required.
• Proven people management experience is required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong influencing, facilitation, relationship management, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems is required, with Oracle or JD Edwards preferred.
• SAP Ariba Sourcing experience is desired.
• Knowledge of vendor capabilities, should-costs, supply chain, and related market areas.

IT and Technology Category Knowledge

• Software licensing and SaaS commercial models.
• Cloud and hyperscaler contracts, including AWS, Azure, GCP, consumption commitments, and EDPs.
• IT outsourcing and managed services.
• Hardware, telecom, network, and call center services sourcing.
• Cybersecurity and data privacy clauses in IT master agreements and statements of work.
• Vendor commercial tactics, license audits, true-ups, and enterprise agreement renewals.
