EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and AWS cloud platforms.
The role builds scalable, secure web services and delivers RESTful APIs while improving performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable and high-performance Java web services.
- Integrate web services into web applications with front-end developers.
- Implement RESTful APIs for client-side and server-side communication.
- Apply standards and best practices for security, reliability, and robustness.
- Optimize services using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
- Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Stay current with Java and web services technologies.
Required qualifications
- 6–8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency.
- Strong web services development and RESTful API experience.
- Spring Boot experience building and deploying web services.
- Spring Security and JWT expertise for authentication and authorization.
- SQL, stored procedure, Hibernate, Linux, Git, and ADO experience.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
