Role Overview
EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and Azure.
The role focuses on delivering robust, scalable, and reliable backend solutions while collaborating across teams to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, shape application design, and define application objectives aligned with business goals.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Develop and test high-quality software according to industry standards.
- Update JIRA with project progress and task status.
- Design and execute scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
- Produce design documentation and recommend application improvements and best practices.
- Manage end-to-end release processes and stay current with relevant technologies and trends.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring or open-source frameworks, multithreaded application development, and additional Go experience.
- Competency creating and integrating REST and SOAP APIs, with exposure to binary payloads using Thrift or gRPC.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- At least 3 years of experience building and managing high-scale microservices and distributed systems.
