About the Role

Responsibilities

• Lead the core service backbone architecture and long-term cloud services roadmap.
• Make architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and evaluate technical trade-offs.
• Manage multi-region cloud deployments with infrastructure as code and automation.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, security, observability, and cost.
• Lead incident prevention and response, including system hardening and remediation.
• Bridge hardware, product, and engineering teams on end-to-end technical solutions.
• Drive consensus and mentor engineers in distributed systems and cloud architecture.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience and a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Expert Python or Go skills and production experience building distributed services.
• Deep database, SQL optimization, and AWS experience using the specified AWS services.
• Advanced Terraform or similar IaC experience with multi-region cloud deployments.
• Kubernetes, Docker, service mesh, networking, security, storage, and observability experience.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural consensus.
• Experience with build-versus-buy analysis, vendor evaluation, DevOps, SRE, and technical communication.
