What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate on solution architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
• Review requirements and clarify ambiguities while considering customer impact and business goals.
• Partner on system design for data retention, performance, and security.
• Design architectural patterns and complete projects against sprint goals and commitments.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers on engineering practices and professional growth.
• Investigate and resolve production issues using logs and diagnostics.
• Improve team engineering practices and tools and reduce recurrence of issues.
• Engage in productive technical debate and continue developing technology and professional skills.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of software application development experience.
• Strong relational or non-relational database knowledge and object-oriented programming understanding.
• Strong grasp of software development principles and patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Solid unit-testing knowledge; integration or end-to-end testing experience is a plus.

Technology Experience

• Legacy technologies include ASP.NET WebForms, jQuery, Telerik ASP.NET AJAX UI Controls, .NET Framework 4.8, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server; this experience is advantageous.
• Required or expected modern-stack experience includes Angular 17+, .NET 10, C#, CQRS with MediatR, FluentValidation, PostgreSQL, and AWS services.
• The modern stack also includes ECS Fargate, ElastiCache, Secrets Manager, OAuth2/OIDC with Amazon Cognito, Hangfire, GitHub Actions, migration tooling, and feature flags.

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, completion of a qualified bootcamp, or equivalent experience is required.

Travel Requirements

• Travel is expected to be less than 10%.

Compensation

• The base annual salary range is $115,000–$130,000 plus a 4% bonus.
