Overview
The Cosmic and M365 Deployments team builds hyperscale cloud infrastructure for Microsoft 365 services, including M365 Copilot, WorkIQ, and IC3.
COSMIC is Microsoft's managed container platform for cloud services, enabling large numbers of services to deploy and operate with reliability and safety.
The team works across deployments, capacity management, networking, storage, security, reliability, and efficiency.
Platform transformation
The team is developing AI-first and agent-driven cloud platform experiences.
The role offers opportunities to build AI-powered infrastructure, improve deployment velocity, and solve distributed systems challenges at hyperscale.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and execution for hyperscale cloud platforms and deployment systems.
- Lead the design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure and platform investments.
- Build secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems.
- Influence engineering direction through architectural leadership and technical decision-making.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, observability, and reliability engineering.
