Role Overview

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, release, and maintain native Android applications and oversee mobile application development efforts.
• Deliver across the app lifecycle, including design, build, deployment, testing, app-store release, and support.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products.
• Safeguard sensitive company data and report suspected security incidents under information security policies.
• Fix bugs, improve application performance, evaluate new technologies, and follow mobile technology trends.

Qualifications

• Have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering; education from IITs or other top institutions is preferred.
• Have three to five years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups with a strong product background.
• Have extensive Android SDK mobile development experience with proficiency in Core Java and design patterns.
• Have experience with e-business or e-commerce applications; internet or travel industry experience is a plus.

Must-Have Skills

• Understand Android SDK, Kotlin or Core Java, Android Architecture Components, Dagger 2/Hilt, and MVVM architecture.
• Understand algorithms, design patterns, memory management, networking, debugging, concurrency, and multithreading in Android.
• Understand application development, continuous integration and testing, deployment, app distribution infrastructure, and maintenance.
• Have hands-on experience with Android debugging, unit testing, application security, and performance optimization tools.
• Bring strong problem-solving skills, people skills, and enthusiasm for programming.
