Responsibilities
- Secure Azure environments: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, network controls, Key Vault, and workload hardening
- Manage identity security with Microsoft Entra ID: Conditional Access, PIM, MFA, and identity governance
- Administer the Microsoft Defender XDR suite (Office 365, Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps) and Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, compliance)
- Build and tune detections, hunt threats, and automate response in Microsoft Sentinel
- Lead security incident investigation and response, including root cause analysis
- Run vulnerability management: scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking
- Contribute to security policies and standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and support audits and risk assessments
- Mentor junior team members and champion security awareness
Requirements
- 8+ years in information security, with 3+ years focused on Azure and Microsoft 365 security
- Deep hands on expertise with Entra ID, Defender XDR, and Microsoft Sentinel (KQL)
- Strong grasp of cloud security architecture and zero trust principles
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Proven incident response and threat hunting experience
- Strong communication skills across technical and non technical audiences
