Job Description

  • Senior Sales Advisor Proposals role within Baker Hughes Oilfield Services business.
  • Provides intelligent, connected technologies to monitor and control energy extraction assets.
  • Integral part of bid preparation process for SP&S, working closely with proposal coordinators.

Primary Responsibilities Tendering Process Focused

  • Unwavering focus on risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leading tendering activities with support from Commercial Hubs and Functions, incorporating Bid to Execute project mobilization.
  • Leading deal dispositioning sessions and ensuring relevant lessons learned are captured.
  • Being instrumental in pricing activities, ensuring adherence to win strategy, market conditions, and customer constraints.
  • Understanding customer drivers and tender requirements and translating them into actionable strategies.
  • Supporting Proposal Coordinator in finalizing bid submission documentation and approvals.
  • Coordinating effectively with all key stakeholders and ensuring adherence to capture plan win strategy.
  • Ensuring adherence to deal management approval tollgate process.

Secondary Responsibilities Early Engagement

  • Leading EE activities for SPS Product Company, supporting development of deal capture strategy with Regional Sales.
  • Working as key member of Global Early Engagement Commercial Team to support region sales targets.
  • Owning region strategy for EE Offshore & Onshore together with Sales.
  • Ensuring deal and project knowledge continuity throughout project lifecycle via capture planning.
  • Leading opportunity pursuits in close partnership with Regional Sales teams and FPS COE proposals team.
  • Owning, developing, and evolving customer relationships and opportunity capture strategies.
  • Influencing customer choices to position Baker Hughes for success.
  • Championing One Team philosophy and culture.

Fuel your passion

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited university or relevant industry experience.
  • Proven expertise in sales strategy, tendering activities, and contract negotiation across complex oil & gas projects, preferably subsea.
  • Skilled in leading opportunity pursuits, capture planning, and early engagement processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, bid preparation, and adherence to win strategies.
  • Adept at building and maintaining customer relationships and influencing decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross functional teams and drive risk and opportunity management.
  • Recognized for leadership, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring teams.
