About the Role

Lead site supervision activities across construction projects in Abu Dhabi.

Provide senior technical and operational leadership and oversee multiple Resident Engineers.

Ensure delivery in accordance with approved designs, contracts, schedules, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Resident Engineers and provide direction, decision-making, and support.
  • Oversee design coordination, procurement, construction activities, and site works.
  • Monitor schedules, milestones, budgets, quality, safety, specifications, drawings, UAE codes, and contracts.
  • Conduct inspections, progress reviews, coordination meetings, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and supervision teams.
  • Review contractor performance and identify delays, quality concerns, technical issues, and contractual risks.
  • Support resolution of technical, contractual, and construction issues.
  • Maintain drawings, schedules, progress reports, inspection reports, and project records.
  • Coordinate project teams and monitor quality and contractual compliance.
  • Prepare senior management reports on progress, risks, issues, and key project matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 15 or more years of relevant professional experience, including substantial UAE experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Resident Engineer role.
  • Strong UAE construction project experience and knowledge of UAE codes and standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts; FIDIC experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing Resident Engineers and site supervision teams.
  • Leadership, team management, communication, negotiation, coordination, reporting, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Technical Skills

  • Revit is mandatory.
  • BIM is mandatory.
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud is mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in construction and project documentation and reporting tools.

Key Performance Focus

Meet project schedules and milestones.

Maintain quality in executed works and health and safety performance.

Achieve stakeholder satisfaction and effective contractual and technical compliance.

Provide strong leadership and oversight of Resident Engineers and site supervision teams.
