Role Description

  • The Senior Registrar Neurology is a full time, on site role based in Riyadh.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings, under the supervision of senior consultants.
  • Conduct clinical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, participate in ward rounds, and contribute to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide guidance to junior medical staff, and support patient and family education.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical governance and patient safety protocols, and participate in departmental meetings, audits, and CME activities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced clinical expertise in neurology, including assessment and management of common and complex neurological disorders.
  • Proficiency in interpreting neurological investigations such as EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and neuroimaging reports.
  • Strong skills in patient communication, counseling, and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience supervising junior doctors and contributing to clinical teaching and mentoring.
  • Recognized medical degree and completion of neurology residency or equivalent training; board certification or eligibility in neurology preferred.
  • Valid license or eligibility to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties requirements).
  • Commitment to evidence based practice, continuous professional development, and adherence to ethical and patient safety standards.
