About the Role
Egis seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Cost Management team in Dubai, supporting large-scale construction projects. The role involves cost estimation, cost planning, quantity take-offs, value engineering, and contract administration.

Responsibilities
- Steer in the preparation, review, and analysis of cost estimates and cost plans across key design stages
- Participate in design development meetings and workshops, providing cost input to support design decisions
- Identify, track, and report key cost drivers, risks, and opportunities arising through design development
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of commercial and cost risk registers
- Undertake detailed quantity take offs and measurement from drawings and models
- Contribute to design led Value Engineering exercises, preparing comparative cost analyses
- Prepare cost inputs and reports to support project steering, governance reviews, and client reporting
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure coordinated cost information
- Ensure all cost management deliverables comply with local regulations and international best practice (RICS/NRM)
- Support contract administration activities including assessment of variations, change orders, and claims
- Monitor and report on project cost performance, including expenditure tracking and forecasting
- Assist in commercial discussions and negotiations with contractors and suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certification from a recognised body (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large scale construction projects
- Demonstrated hands on experience across multiple sectors (sports, hospitality, mixed use, healthcare, education)
- Experience in transportation infrastructure (airports, roads, utilities) is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- In depth knowledge of construction practices and methodologies
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and local UAE regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong organisational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
