Senior Quantity Surveyor – Joinery

• to manage both
• pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities
• for joinery and interior fit-out projects.
• The ideal candidate will handle cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and full project cost control to ensure profitability and successful project delivery.
• 🔹 Pre-Contract Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Conduct material take-offs for joinery works (wood, MDF, veneer, hardware, etc.)
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare pricing comparisons and cost analysis
• Support bid submissions and tender strategy
• Provide value engineering options for cost optimization
• 🔹 Post-Contract Responsibilities
• Manage project cost control from award to final account
• Prepare interim valuations and payment applications
• Handle variation orders, claims, and contractual correspondence
• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost efficiency
• Evaluate subcontractor invoices and progress claims
• Prepare final accounts and close-out reports
• Coordinate with project managers, production, and procurement teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 7–10+ years of QS experience in
• joinery / interior fit-out
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, production, and installation processes
• Excellent BOQ preparation and cost estimation skills
• Strong understanding of contract administration (pre & post contract)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and reading technical drawings
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
• UAE experience preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience in luxury/high-end joinery projects
• Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Can work Saturday (flexible)
• Have also procurement background.
