About the Role
Al Masaood Power Division seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor for commercial management of power generation EPC and maintenance projects across UAE and GCC. You will manage cost control, subcontract administration, change management, and project reporting.

Responsibilities
- Track and control project costs against approved budgets and commercial baselines
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Assist in preparing monthly commercial progress reports for senior management
- Identify cost overruns, commercial risks, and margin erosion early
- Manage preparation, tracking, negotiation, and closure of variation orders, claims, and change requests
- Support review and administration of client contracts, subcontracts, supplier agreements, and purchase orders
- Identify and escalate contractual risks, liabilities, and areas of exposure
- Prepare quantity take offs and confirm BOQs align with project scope and drawings
- Maintain accurate commercial trackers such as cost reports, VO registers, risk registers, payment trackers
- Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Finance, and Site Teams to ensure accurate commercial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (minimum 3 years’ experience) or a minimum 5–8 years’ experience in similar roles in the past 10 years
- Experience within power generation EPC & maintenance projects, or data center projects
- Strong understanding of commercial controls and contract administration
- Experience working under FIDIC or equivalent forms of contract
- UAE/GCC based candidates with English language proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP, cost reporting tools, and BOQ measurement

Role Overview
- Al Masaood Power Division is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support the delivery of their projects across the UAE and wider GCC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial, Contract & Cost Management: Track and control project costs against approved budgets and commercial baselines.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Assist in preparing monthly commercial progress reports for senior management.
- Identify cost overruns, commercial risks, and margin erosion early.
- Manage the preparation, tracking, negotiation, and closure of variation orders (VOs), claims, and change requests.
- Support the review and administration of client contracts, subcontracts, supplier agreements, purchase orders, and commercial correspondence.
- Identify and escalate contractual risks, liabilities, and areas of exposure.
- Assist in drafting formal commercial correspondence, notices, and responses.
- Monitor subcontractor performance against contractual and commercial requirements.
- Prepare quantity take offs and confirm BOQs align with project scope and drawings and assess completed work for interim valuations and milestone based payment applications.
- Maintain accurate commercial trackers such as cost reports, VO registers, risk registers, payment trackers, procurement status trackers, subcontract status, etc.
- Work closely with planning teams to align cost reporting with project schedules and progress.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (minimum 3 years’ experience) or a minimum 5–8 years’ experience in similar roles in the past 10 years.
- Experience within power generation EPC & maintenance projects, or data center projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial controls and contract administration.
- Experience working under FIDIC or equivalent forms of contract.
- UAE/GCC based candidates with English language proficiency.
