Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for buildings and industrial facilities
- Calculate cooling and heating loads, ventilation requirements, piping & duct sizing
- Prepare HVAC drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
- Select equipment such as chillers, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, ventilation fans
- Review contractor drawings and material submittals
- Supervise installation and site activities
- Conduct inspections, testing, balancing, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Monitor energy efficiency and system performance
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation
- Coordinate MEP clashes in BIM/Revit
- Support quantity estimation for BOQ/BOM and value engineering exercises
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, mechanical highly preferred
- 6 8 years’ experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in the Industrial or Oil & Gas sector
- Strong calculation experience and impeccable knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to design and manage solutions from concept to inception
- Ability to influence colleagues and clients based on airflow improvements
- Critical thinking skills

Role Scope

Technical Responsibilities
- Design HVAC systems for buildings and industrial facilities
- Calculate: cooling and heating loads, ventilation requirements, piping & duct sizing
- Prepare HVAC drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
- Select equipment such as: chillers, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, ventilation fans
- Review contractor drawings and material submittals
- Supervise installation and site activities
- Conduct inspections, testing, balancing, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot HVAC system issues
- Monitor energy efficiency and system performance
- Prepare technical reports and project documentation
Compliance & Safety
- Reviewing HVAC layouts and duct routing
- Coordinating MEP clashes in BIM/Revit
- Inspecting HVAC installation work onsite
- Reviewing equipment datasheets and vendor submissions
Quality Responsibilities
- Ensure installation quality meets specifications
- Conduct inspections and identify snagging points
- Support testing and commissioning where relevant
- Maintain engineering records and documentation
Commercial Responsibilities
- Support quantity estimation for BOQ/BOM
- Assist with value engineering exercises
- Review variation impacts on design & implementation scope
Construction Responsibilities
- Attend technical and coordination meetings
- Respond to RFIs (Requests for Information)
- Monitor HVAC installation works progress
- Assist in procurement ensuring best in class is selected
- Review contractor submissions and method statements
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, mechanical highly preferred
- 6 8 years’ experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in the Industrial or Oil & Gas sector
