The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing interior fit-out projects from initiation through final handover, ensuring successful delivery within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.
The role requires strong expertise in F&B and retail fit-out projects, with a deep understanding of MEP systems, mall fit-out regulations, and coordination of in-house execution teams across multiple disciplines.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Lead and manage the complete interior fit-out project lifecycle from mobilization to project handover.
- Oversee execution of commercial interior projects including F&B outlets, retail stores, and mall fit-outs.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective action plans to maintain timelines.
- Coordinate project activities across civil, carpentry, MEP, and finishing teams to ensure smooth site execution.
Mep Coordination & Technical Management
- Lead planning, execution, and coordination of all MEP works across projects.
- Ensure MEP installations comply with technical specifications, authority approvals, mall regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal technical teams to resolve site and design issues.
- Review shop drawings, technical submissions, material approvals, and method statements related to MEP systems.
- Ensure successful coordination between MEP and architectural/interior works during execution.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular client meetings, project reviews, progress presentations, and site walkthroughs.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Coordinate with consultants, mall management teams, authorities, and subcontractors on project-related matters.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Supervise and manage in-house operational teams across multiple projects.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently based on project priorities.
- Monitor team performance and ensure productivity, accountability, and quality standards are maintained.
- Support and guide site teams in resolving operational and technical challenges.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present detailed project reports including progress updates, dashboards, risk assessments, and completion reports.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including schedules, RFIs, variation records, snag lists, and handover documents.
- Ensure proper reporting to management regarding project status, milestones, risks, and commercial impact.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and authority regulations.
- Monitor site safety practices and ensure adherence to HSE requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain workmanship quality and project standards.
- Oversee snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the UAE interior fit-out industry.
- Strong experience managing F&B outlets, retail stores, and mall fit-out projects in Dubai.
- Proven experience working with in-house execution teams across civil, carpentry, and MEP disciplines.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of MEP systems, authority approvals, and mall coordination processes.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of project planning, execution, quality control, and site operations.
- Excellent client-facing, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, project reporting tools, and project scheduling software is preferred.
