About the Role

Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of Basel III regulatory requirements, including Pillar I, Pillar II (ICAAP), and Pillar III.
- Review the Bank's compliance with capital adequacy, liquidity, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of Basel implementation and governance frameworks.
- Review and evaluate enterprise wide stress testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Plan and execute risk based audits covering regulatory compliance and risk management functions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to regulatory reporting and capital management.
- Identify control gaps, audit findings, and areas requiring improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with practical recommendations.
- Perform data analysis to support audit reviews and regulatory assessments.
- Liaise with Risk Management, Finance, Credit Risk, Regulatory Compliance, Treasury, and Business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or related discipline
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CIA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, Regulatory Review, Risk Management, or Basel Compliance within the banking sector
- Hands on experience reviewing Basel III Pillar I, Pillar II (ICAAP), and Pillar III frameworks
- Experience in capital adequacy, liquidity management, and stress testing
- UAE banking experience highly preferred

Job Overview
- To independently review and assess the Bank's compliance with Basel III regulatory requirements, capital adequacy, liquidity standards, ICAAP, stress testing, and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of Basel III regulatory requirements, including Pillar I, Pillar II (ICAAP), and Pillar III.
- Review the Bank's compliance with capital adequacy, liquidity, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of Basel implementation and governance frameworks.
- Review regulatory disclosures to ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations.
- Evaluate the impact of new regulatory requirements on the Bank's capital and risk profile.
- Review and evaluate enterprise wide stress testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Assess stress testing scenarios covering macroeconomic, market, liquidity, and credit risk factors.
- Analyze the impact of stress testing results on capital adequacy and portfolio quality.
- Validate stress testing assumptions, models, methodologies, and supporting data.
- Review risk mitigation measures based on stress testing outcomes.
- Plan and execute risk based audits covering regulatory compliance and risk management functions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to regulatory reporting and capital management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, CIA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Professional certifications in Risk Management, Basel, or Banking will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, Regulatory Review, Risk Management, or Basel Compliance within the banking sector.
- Hands on experience reviewing Basel III Pillar I, Pillar II (ICAAP), and Pillar III frameworks.
- Experience in capital adequacy, liquidity management, and stress testing.
- Experience reviewing regulatory disclosures and capital planning frameworks.
- UAE banking experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with multinational or large banking institutions is an advantage.
