About the Role

  • Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Manager / Assistant Operations Manager to oversee construction project delivery and support overall operational excellence.
  • The role will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects, ensuring successful execution within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project execution plans, including schedules, resource allocation, procurement requirements, and project milestones.
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle from planning, mobilization, construction execution, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion in line with contractual requirements and client expectations.
  • Identify project risks, delays, and challenges, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Construction Operations Management

  • Oversee daily construction operations across multiple project sites.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Provide operational guidance and support to project teams to achieve project objectives.

Site & Resource Management

  • Monitor site performance, productivity, manpower planning, equipment utilization, and material availability.
  • Ensure effective allocation of resources across projects to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular site visits to review progress, quality, safety compliance, and operational challenges.
  • Support project teams in resolving technical and execution related issues.

Cost Control & Commercial Management

  • Monitor project budgets, project costs, and overall financial performance.
  • Review project variations, claims, and additional works to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Work closely with the commercial and finance teams to maintain cost control and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational improvements.

Quality, Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with approved quality standards, project specifications, and company procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements across all project sites.
  • Support implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.
  • Review project performance and implement corrective actions where required.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and project objectives.
  • Conduct regular project review meetings and operational coordination meetings.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for project related matters.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and timely delivery.

Operations Support

  • Support the Operations Manager/General Manager in improving construction processes and operational performance.
  • Develop strategies to enhance project delivery, productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Assist in business planning, project forecasting, and operational reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
