About the Role
Go Tech Construction LLC seeks a Senior MEP Design Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to lead design, coordination, and value engineering of MEP systems for UAE projects. The role requires expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design, as well as authority approvals and BIM coordination.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for various projects
- Review client requirements, project specifications, and contract documents to develop efficient MEP design solutions
- Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation
- Ensure all MEP designs comply with UAE regulations, international standards, and project specifications
- Coordinate MEP designs with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Interior Design teams
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve design clashes
- Review BIM/Revit models and coordinate with BIM Engineers to achieve clash free designs
- Liaise with local authorities including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, RTA, DCD, Etisalat, DU
- Prepare and review authority submission packages and obtain necessary approvals
- Mentor and supervise Design Engineers, BIM Engineers, and Draftsmen
- Identify cost saving opportunities through value engineering without compromising quality or compliance
- Provide technical assistance to project execution teams and resolve site engineering issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline
- Minimum 7–10 years of MEP design experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior design role
- Proven experience in both MEP Consultancy and MEP Contracting within the UAE or GCC
- Strong portfolio of high rise buildings, commercial developments, residential projects, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects
- Experience in design review, authority approvals, tendering, and construction support
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC Design, Electrical Design, Plumbing & Drainage Systems, Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Systems, ELV Systems
- Strong understanding of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, DEWA Regulations, Dubai Municipality Codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, IEC, IPC, UPC, SMACNA, CIBSE Standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM 360, HAP, DIALux Evo, ETAP, Microsoft Office Suite
- UAE/GCC experience is mandatory

Position Summary
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Design Engineer with a strong background in MEP consultancy.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, coordination, value engineering, and technical delivery of MEP systems across multiple projects.
- The role requires extensive knowledge of UAE codes, authority requirements, and practical site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and mixed use projects.
- Review client requirements, project specifications, and contract documents to develop efficient MEP design solutions.
- Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure all MEP designs comply with UAE regulations, international standards, and project specifications.
- Produce and review HVAC load calculations, plumbing calculations, electrical load schedules, voltage drop calculations, lighting calculations, and fire protection designs.
- Coordinate MEP designs with Architectural, Structural, Civil, and Interior Design teams.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and resolve design clashes.
- Review BIM/Revit models and coordinate with BIM Engineers to achieve clash free designs.
- Ensure timely submission of coordinated shop drawings and IFC drawings.
- Liaise with local authorities including Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defense, RTA, DCD, Etisalat, DU, and other regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and review authority submission packages and address authority comments.
- Mentor and supervise Design Engineers, BIM Engineers, and Draftsmen.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Professional Engineering membership or certification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of MEP design experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior design role.
- Proven experience in both MEP Consultancy and MEP Contracting within the UAE or GCC.
- Strong portfolio of high rise buildings, commercial developments, residential projects, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in design review, authority approvals, tendering, and construction support.
Technical Skills
