Senior Project Engineer

Technical leader who can align cross-functional engineering teams around project objectives, priorities, and technical decisions.

Strong technical coordinator who can connect Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders without directly owning those functions.

Knowledgeable in Project Management and Systems Engineering practices, including planning, risk discussions, requirements management, and system-level thinking.

Savvy engineer able to support robust product designs for manufacturability, reliability, and mission-critical applications.

Clear communicator, writer, and presenter who can translate technical details into concise recommendations, actions, risks, and decisions.

Collaborative professional who builds alignment across diverse project teams and maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering or equivalent degree with at least 10+ years of demonstrated experience in cross-disciplined engineering environments, including strong technical coordination and leadership experience. Additionally, you should have:

7+ years of cross-functional engineering project or technical coordination experience.

7+ years of experience providing technical leadership across multi-functional engineering teams.

7+ years of design for manufacturability experience.

7+ years of full product life-cycle experience from concept through in-service support.

7+ years supporting or leading technical and/or cross-functional engineering teams.

7+ years of experience in designing high reliability aerospace, marine, energy, industrial, transportation, or other mission-critical products.

Extensive experience designing to international product standards such as CE, RoHS, REACH, or equivalent standards.

Experience supporting product certification activities such as CSA, UL, ATEX, IECEx, or equivalent certifications.

Possess an Ontario Professional Engineering licence or be in the process/eligible to obtain one.

Additional consideration will be given to candidates having experience in one or more of the following areas:

Airborne HW/SW project execution in DO-160/178/254 or equivalent automotive/defence environments.

Safety/mission critical and reliability driven product design.

Marine platform control systems design, integration, or support experience.

Familiarity with Canadian and/or NATO defence procurement projects, processes, or stakeholder environments.

Designing and management of safety/mission critical products and/or projects.

Laser-based spectroscopy or other opto-mechanical techniques and methods.

Aerospace/marine sensors and systems.

Particle and wear analysis applications.

High reliability equipment.

Condition assessment applications.

Gas turbine engines.

Rotating machinery.
