Role Overview
The role is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating, and completing assigned construction projects.
Projects must be delivered on time, within budget, to required quality standards, and in compliance with HSE and contractual requirements.
The role coordinates with consultants, clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Delivery
- Take overall responsibility for successful execution of assigned construction projects.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and resource requirements.
- Identify potential delays and develop recovery plans where required.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and review subcontractor and supplier costs.
- Act as the primary project-level contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate design, engineering, and technical teams to ensure timely availability of approved drawings and technical information.
- Ensure site execution complies with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Coordinate daily site activities with construction engineers, supervisors, and site teams.
Quality, HSE, and Close-Out
- Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Work with QA/QC to maintain project quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and Dubai regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Take immediate corrective action when unsafe practices are identified.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and snagging activities.
- Ensure timely closure of project snags and outstanding works.
- Coordinate preparation of handover documentation.
- Ensure successful client handover and project close-out.
- Support final account and contractual close-out activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional certifications in project management or construction are advantageous.
- 8–10 years of construction project experience, preferably within Dubai or the GCC.
- At least four years of experience in a Project Manager role.
- Proven experience managing construction projects from commencement through completion and handover.
