Senior Project Engineer - Construction

Role Overview

Project Delivery

• Develop project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, and resource requirements.
• Identify potential delays and develop recovery plans.
• Monitor project expenditure and subcontractor and supplier costs against approved budgets.
• Coordinate design, engineering, technical, and procurement activities to ensure timely drawings, information, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate daily site activities with construction engineers, supervisors, and site teams.

Quality and HSE

• Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Work with the QA/QC team to maintain project quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and Dubai regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations and take corrective action on unsafe practices.

Completion and Handover

• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and snagging activities.
• Ensure timely closure of project snags and outstanding works.
• Coordinate handover documentation, successful client handover, project close-out, and final account activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related engineering discipline.
• 8 to 10 years of construction project experience, preferably within Dubai or the GCC.
• At least 4 years of experience in a Project Manager role.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from commencement through completion and handover.
• Dubai construction experience is mandatory.
• Professional project management or construction certification is advantageous.
• A driving licence is a plus.

• Strong understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
