About the Role
Senior Procurement Engineer - Civil manages sourcing, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiations for construction materials and subcontractors. Responsibilities include analyzing BOQs, driving cost optimization, and ensuring material deliveries align with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and vet reliable suppliers and subcontractors for civil works (concrete, steel, finishes).
- Prepare RFQs, analyze technical/commercial bids, and build comparative statements.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize project costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, planning engineers, and site teams to avoid project delays.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and alternative material proposals without sacrificing quality.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8-12 years of total construction procurement experience, with regional market expertise.
- Deep understanding of civil building materials, drawings, BOQs, and local industry standards.
- Strong skills in MS Office (Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems or Oracle/SAP.
- Exceptional commercial awareness, communication, and vendor negotiation skills.
