Role Overview

Specifications and Regulatory Compliance

• Manage product registrations with SFDA, Dubai Municipality, and other GCC regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate production routings, nutritional information, specifications, and labelling documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality, Vendor Assurance, Procurement, Operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Labelling and Product Development

• Implement efficient labelling processes and ensure compliant labels for all products.
• Validate label creation, Arabic translation, registration, artwork, and verification data.
• Capture specification and labelling data for product launches and manage customer development projects.
• Verify and finalize raw-material and finished-goods specifications.

Audit and Quality Activities

• Maintain an audit-ready Specifications function for BRCGS, Dubai Municipality, customer, internal, and external audits.
• Prepare specifications and labels for audits and conduct internal audits on routing and labelling procedures.
• Address audit findings and validate meal specifications through sensory sessions.

Team and Process Leadership

• Manage team delegation, workload, productivity, training, and career development.
• Oversee food technology projects across proteins and coordinate cross-functional meetings.
• Digitalize Food Point specifications through specification management software.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in food processing or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance, and managing projects.

Technical Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food production, quality control, regulatory compliance, food safety systems, and HACCP principles.
• Experience optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality and safety, and implementing processing standards.
• Knowledge of food regulations, labelling requirements, and industry trends.
• Experience with continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process optimization approaches.
