Role Description
- We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of UAE experience in infrastructure, roads, and bridge projects.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure alignment with construction progress and contractual deadlines.
- The role includes supporting the Planning Manager in identifying potential delays, highlighting critical activities, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project schedules including baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and impacted schedules.
- Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the approved schedule.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, bi weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Develop project dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Prepare and review Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Support discussions on contractual and planning matters with consultants and clients.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondences related to project planning and delays.
- Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in infrastructure project planning and controls.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong scheduling and forecasting abilities using industry standard tools
- Analytical mindset with effective problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of contract terms (FIDIC, turnkey, reimbursable, etc.)
- Able to manage multiple interfaces and perform well under pressure
- Clear communicator with strong reporting skills to senior management and clients
