Senior Planning Engineer

Role Overview

Planning and Scheduling

• Develop and maintain Level 3 and Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 and ADNOC standards.
• Prepare the baseline schedule covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical activities, and schedule impacts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and 2-week, 3-week, and 4-week look-ahead schedules.

Analysis and Project Controls

• Perform critical path, schedule variance, delay, recovery, and catch-up analyses.
• Prepare Extension of Time and schedule impact analyses when required.
• Perform Earned Value Management using planned value, earned value, actual cost, SPI, CPI, and forecast completion.
• Integrate cost control, planning, progress measurement, and project reporting.

Coordination and Progress Validation

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, marine and offshore installation, commissioning, and subcontractor teams.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for alignment with the overall project schedule.
• Track deliverables, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, commissioning, and project milestones.
• Validate subcontractor progress claims against actual physical achievements.

Resources, Risk, and Offshore Planning

• Maintain resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms, equipment requirements, and productivity forecasts.
• Maintain project schedule risk registers and prepare S-curves, progress curves, manpower curves, productivity reports, and KPI dashboards.
• Provide planning input for offshore campaigns, vessel mobilization, installation sequences, shutdown activities, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with project management on schedule performance, key milestones, and recovery strategies.

• Use Primavera P6 to update and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Plan and integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, offshore installation, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Perform critical path, schedule variance, delay, recovery, and earned value analysis.
• Develop resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms, equipment requirements, and productivity forecasts.
• Coordinate schedule information across project disciplines, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Support Extension of Time and schedule impact analyses when required.
