Role Overview

Material Control Responsibilities

• Control and monitor receiving, storing, issuing, transferring, and returning materials.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, packing lists, and technical specifications.
• Maintain inventory records and update ERP transactions.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, labeling, and identification.
• Maintain material traceability and control certificates and inspection records.

Inventory and Project Support

• Conduct inventory counts, stock reconciliations, and audits.
• Investigate and report discrepancies, shortages, damages, and non-conformances.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics, construction, and maintenance teams.
• Generate inventory, material status, and stock movement reports.
• Track project materials through final installation and handover.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and material management procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Five to eight years of experience in material control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain activities.
• Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or EPC industry.
• Experience on construction, commissioning, maintenance, shutdown, or turnaround projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Maximo, or an equivalent ERP system.

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Excellent report preparation and documentation abilities.
• Strong knowledge of material control and inventory management processes.
• Familiarity with mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and structural oil and gas materials.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
