About the Role
Senior Oracle Database Engineer supporting enterprise technology projects with a focus on Oracle performance tuning and DBA automation.
The role operates in a fast-paced delivery environment across multiple concurrent projects.
The role requires resilience under pressure and occasional out-of-hours and weekend support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
- Own end-to-end SQL- and database-level performance tuning.
- Manage high-availability architecture including Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
- Execute backup and recovery operations using RMAN.
- Handle database patching cycles and version upgrades.
- Administer environments through Oracle Enterprise Manager.
- Operate and support databases across OCI and AWS.
- Automate recurring DBA tasks using Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and Groovy.
- Lead or support database migration projects.
- Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate in Agile delivery teams across multiple simultaneous projects.
- Provide production support during out-of-hours periods and weekends as required.
