Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced DBA Admin specializing in Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
The role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience with database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, and production support.
The position supports mission-critical production databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Administer users, roles, privileges, tablespaces, datafiles, schemas, indexes, and database objects.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform SQL and database tuning.
- Manage Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, SQL Server backup, and restore operations.
- Implement Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Manage SQL Server Always On, failover clustering, replication, log shipping, and database mirroring.
- Perform upgrades, migrations, patching, refreshes, cloning, and environment synchronization.
- Monitor health, capacity, storage, sessions, locks, jobs, and alerts.
- Handle production incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, and change activities under SLAs.
- Implement security, access controls, auditing, and compliance standards.
- Maintain monitoring, maintenance, backup, recovery procedures, documentation, and disaster recovery runbooks.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, development, and cloud teams to resolve database issues.
Oracle Technical Skills
- Oracle 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, or higher.
- RMAN, Data Pump, SQL*Loader, RAC, and Data Guard.
- Performance tuning using AWR and ASH.
- Tablespace, datafile, user, privilege, upgrade, patching, backup, and recovery administration.
Microsoft SQL Server Skills
- SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, or 2022.
- T-SQL and query optimization.
- Always On Availability Groups and failover clustering.
- Replication, log shipping, backup, restore, recovery, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 8 years of DBA experience with strong hands-on expertise in both Oracle and MSSQL.
- Experience with production support, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, and database security.
