Role Overview

Miratech is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - LAN for a large-scale SaaS production environment.

The role maintains, optimizes, and troubleshoots IP networking components in a mission-critical datacenter network built on Cisco Nexus platforms.

The position covers routing, switching, security, load balancing, automation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for external customers.
  • Partner with Network Architects and Engineers to improve datacenter network environments.
  • Initiate projects that improve network operations.
  • Work with internal business units to understand needs and improve operational standards.
  • Review, analyze, and execute network change requests.
  • Execute, document, and develop network automation for repetitive tasks.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience working with medium-to-large enterprise networks.
  • Hands-on expertise in Palo Alto network security, F5 or equivalent load balancing, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and Cisco Nexus switching.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco IOS; Nexus OS is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Python networking libraries including Netmiko, Nornir, and NAPALM.
  • Experience with datacenter networking, interoffice routing, and site-to-site VPNs.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a data-driven approach to complex network issues.
  • Ability to create and maintain network diagrams and runbooks.
  • Experience with large datacenter implementations, firewalls, IPSec, and monitoring is a plus.
