Senior Automation Testing Engineer (Python)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Use a custom Python-Selenium framework for thorough testing and create end-to-end product test scripts.
• Analyze framework logs, product logs, and traffic dumps to interpret results and identify issues.
• Maintain and extend the automation framework and develop tools for efficient testing workflows.
• Identify weaknesses in automated processes and implement continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, TechOps, and network teams on testing goals and project priorities.
• Report testing progress, develop automation methodologies, and mentor team members.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of QA automation experience.
• Hands-on Python 3 experience, including advanced decorators and detailed knowledge of core data structures.
• Strong programming and algorithm knowledge, including object-oriented programming and multithreading.
• REST API automation or SDK interface experience.
• Linux-based operating system experience.
• Strong knowledge of software development processes and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Git, and project or bug-tracking systems.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in team environments.

Nice-to-have qualifications

• Experience with AWS or GCP automation frameworks for CI/CD.
• Experience testing cloud computing solutions in private or public cloud environments.
• Practical MySQL experience.
• Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, or MS Dynamics configuration.
• Strong interpersonal, reliability, communication, and proactive investigation skills.
