CollectiveSpend seeks a Senior MRO Buyer for a high-impact project with a leading UAE energy group. The role leads operational sourcing for MRO and indirect categories, managing RFQs, supplier coordination, and compliance.

Responsibilities
- Source suppliers and run RFQs across MRO and indirect categories: spares, fasteners and fittings, electrical, instrumentation, industrial gases, coatings, and consumables
- Deliver a high monthly volume of ready for PO packages while keeping every line compliant and auditable
- Apply sourcing thresholds (single versus multi quote) and handle sole source justifications
- Coordinate technical clearances and clarifications through a single client focal point
- Unblock incomplete requisitions: research equivalents, alternates, and part numbers, and present clear option engineering summaries
- Build catalogs and negotiate framework agreements for recurring items
- Produce transparent weekly progress reporting
Requirements
- 5+ years in MRO or indirect procurement or operational buying, ideally in oil and gas, energy, utilities, or heavy industry
- Strong RFQ to PO and supplier sourcing experience in the UAE or GCC market
- Comfort with high volume and tight timelines, with a sharp compliance and detail mindset
- Working knowledge of an ERP (SAP preferred) and strong Excel
- Excellent communication to align technical and commercial stakeholders, and solid negotiation skill
- CIPS qualification preferred
- Familiarity with UAE supplier registration and ICV preferred
- Experience building catalogs or framework agreements preferred

- We run managed Buying Desk services for large organisations across the UAE and GCC.
- We are mobilising a dedicated team to clear and manage the MRO and indirect spend backlog for a leading UAE energy group, and we are hiring buyers who can move fast without cutting compliance corners.
The Role
- As Senior MRO Buyer you lead operational sourcing for high volume, low value purchases from end to end: receiving requisitions, sourcing compliant suppliers, running RFQs, coordinating technical clearance with end users, negotiating, and compiling complete ready for PO packages.
- You work on METIS, which automates much of the sourcing legwork, so your time goes on judgement, stakeholder coordination, and results.
- You also help stand up catalogs and framework agreements and guide other MRO buyers.
