- Lead the Buying Desk team and set the standard as the highest output person on the team
- Personally run supplier negotiations and close better terms
- Find, vet, and onboard new suppliers yourself
- Create and maintain catalogs and contracts that are clean, accurate, competitive
- Own incoming buying requirements end to end with speed and accuracy
- Be accountable for the service experience; ensure client receives consistently exceeds expectations
- Coach the Buying Desk team by example, lifting their output and quality
- Use AI to do procurement faster and better; help move toward agents handling routine work
Requirements
- Strong procurement or sourcing experience across indirect and tail spend
- Track record of hands on negotiation wins
- Deep, practical experience onboarding suppliers, negotiating, contracting, and building catalogs in the region
- Ability to lead and lift a small team by example while carrying own heavy workload
- Service mindset; treats client outcomes as personal responsibility
- Hands on with AI tools and able to demonstrate how you apply them to procurement work
- Based in the UAE with strong, current experience of the local market
- Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage

The Role
- This is a player coach role, not a desk job.
- You will lead our Buying Desk team and do the work alongside them, hands dirty every day.
- You own the service side of METIS end to end.
What you will own
- Lead by doing. Set the standard as the highest output person on the team.
- Negotiate, hands dirty. Personally run supplier negotiations and close better terms.
- Onboard suppliers. Find, vet, and onboard new suppliers yourself.
- Build catalogs and contracts. Create and maintain catalogs and contracts.
- Run the Buying Desk. Own incoming buying requirements end to end.
- Own service quality. Be accountable for the service experience.
- Grow the team. Coach the Buying Desk team by example.
- Drive toward autonomy. Use AI to do procurement faster and better.
What we are looking for
- Strong procurement or sourcing experience across indirect and tail spend.
- A high frequency doer who leads from the front.
- Deep, practical experience onboarding suppliers, negotiating, contracting, and building catalogs in the region.
- Ability to lead and lift a small team by example while carrying your own heavy workload.

- Hands on with AI tools and able to demonstrate how you apply them to procurement work.
- Based in the UAE with strong, current experience of the local market.
