Role Overview

This is an opportunity for an experienced PMC Lead Static Engineer supporting the design, development, and implementation of static equipment for a high-profile client.

The role focuses on equipment functionality, safety, compliance with project specifications, and adherence to industry standards.

Key Objectives

  • Provide technical expertise in mechanical static equipment design.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
  • Coordinate and monitor static equipment engineering with the EPC contractor within project timelines.
  • Resolve technical issues with IPMT, contractors, ADNOC engineering, operations, and site interface teams.
  • Review consultant and contractor deliverables for quality, compliance, and adherence to best practices.

Engineering Coordination

  • Coordinate the Mechanical Static Engineering team and ensure integration of its activities.
  • Review and approve consultant and EPC contractor work.
  • Contribute to design option analysis, optimization, validation, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
  • Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluations, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.

Interfaces and Reporting

  • Provide support to Project Managers and engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
  • Interface with company technical, business, operations, and logistics departments.
  • Interface regularly with contractor engineering and project management teams and discipline engineers.
  • Report to the ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is expected.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry is expected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected.
  • Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills are expected.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards is expected.
  • Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software is expected.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in planning, organizing, and coordinating solutions to complex problems is expected.
