About the Role

Responsibilities
- Single point responsibility for all mechanical equipment engineering (static equipment) design deliverables
- Provide input to preparation of Technical Work Practices and Standards
- Support planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables
- Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and generate status reports
- Ensure all team members are competency assessed
- Liaise with Licensors, Equipment Vendors and OEMs
- Preparation of Tender Bid Evaluations and assessment of bids
- Review of Vendor Documents on Detailed Engineering Projects
- Provide input to EPC scope of work and EPC Tender Package
- Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development
- Provide technical support to site in terms of material inspection, Factory Acceptance Testing
- Participate in all project safety and design reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar role, preferably in UAE or Middle East
- Offshore experience is must
- Specialist and detailed knowledge of major mechanical equipment types
- Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards

Job Description
- Wood has been awarded a major project with ADNOC and is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static) for the Abu Dhabi Engineering Center.
