About the Role
Capital One is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the technical roadmap for the Capital One Travel Core Platform Team. - Own the Platform Team's technical roadmap end to end — from discovery through delivery
- Drive the centralization of the shared component library and migration of all Travel funnels onto it
- Lead the AI driven development unlock: design to code mapping, component metadata for AI grounding, and ESLint/CI guardrails
- Modernize deployment, testing, and observability — test strategy, regression test automation, feature flag and A/B automation, and proactive monitoring
- Prototype and validate technical concepts rapidly using AI tools such as Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or equivalent
- Sit in architecture reviews and design system working sessions as a credible technical peer
- Run the operating cadence: quarterly stakeholder reviews, platform placemat, onboarding kits, and developer experience surveys
- Translate an ambiguous, broad mandate into clear technical requirements and a defensible sequence
- Champion the engineers who build on the platform and the teams who consume it
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Software Engineering
- At least 2 years of hands on software engineering experience shipping production software
- At least 1 year of experience using AI assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or equivalent)
- Engineering background a former software engineer who has personally shipped production software
- Technical acumen deeply credible with engineering partners, comfortable in architectural discussions
- AI fluency and hands on prototyping experience with AI powered development tools
- Delivers business results focuses on key inputs and delivers with right quality and timeliness
- Problem solving drives toward solutions in a thoughtful, creative manner
- Dealing with ambiguity thrives with limited information and a broad mandate
- Customer first treats engineers who build on the platform and teams who consume it as customers

About The Team
- We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the technical roadmap for the Capital One Travel Core Platform Team.
- This is a deeply technical, builder minded role for a former engineer who has shipped software end to end.
- The Platform Team centralizes the shared component library, unlocks AI driven front end development, modernizes testing/deployment/observability, and makes the platform something other teams want to build on.

Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Software Engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands on software engineering experience shipping production software.
- At least 1 year of experience using AI assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field or Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration.
- Experience owning a platform, design system, or developer tooling roadmap.
- Experience translating a technical strategy into a sequenced, multi team delivery program.
- Experience building or migrating component libraries, design tokens, or CI/CD and observability tooling at scale.
Working at Capital One
- Hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office.

Salary Range
- Expected annual salary range: CAD 184,000 CAD 210,000.
- Eligible for performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es).
