Job Overview
Lead the Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Engineering and Design Management for capital projects and operational enhancement programs of ADA, with primary responsibility for all Fire & Life Safety aspects of design development and regulatory code compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Review fire protection systems, including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing fire protection systems and identify deficiencies.
- Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction, Airport Emergency services, and other regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Review and approve fire protection system designs prepared by external consultants.
- Manage the budget for fire safety engineering activities, including procurement of equipment and services.
- Strategic & tactical planning and the engineering development of capital and operational enhancement projects.
- Manage & lead multiple specialized design & supervision of consultancy services.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and handover of fire and life safety systems to operations.
