Job Description
The Manager Logistics directs, supervises, and manages warehouse operations and logistics activities across storage locations.
The role oversees staff, workflow, material receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, issuance, and distribution.
The role ensures the safety of personnel, infrastructure, and storage facilities and compliance with company safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, develop, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff.
- Plan and oversee warehouse and logistics activities and improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage fleet operations, vehicles, equipment, machinery maintenance, and outsourced service providers.
- Coordinate with procurement, operational departments, and end-users to resolve material-related issues.
- Manage receipt, storage, issuance, and distribution of materials.
- Maintain material security and preservation, optimize warehouse space, and manage scrap disposal and tenders.
- Manage budgets, statistical and financial records, inventory documentation, ERP transactions, and audit records.
- Monitor slow-moving and non-moving items and support inventory optimization.
- Identify training needs, arrange staff development, conduct meetings, and provide performance feedback.
- Organize safety drills, support HSE risk reviews, promote reporting, and ensure corrective actions.
