Responsibilities
- Manage staffing needs, interview/selection process, staff development and adherence to HR/Corporate policies and administer department budget.
- Support the Director, Facilities & Real Estate in effectively planning, managing, monitoring and controlling the execution of all aspects of the outsourcing governance and outsourcer project approval functions.
- Lead staff in the development of the facilities outsourcing program business plan and budget on an annual basis.
- Oversee the management of the facility related projects, approval process and cost savings program initiatives.
- Work closely with a variety of groups within the Company on several aspects of the outsourcing program.
- Lead development of recommended strategies and policies related to the facilities outsourcing program and/or projects.
- Recommend strategies, tactics and positions for the Company to adopt related to negotiation issues.
- Lead the division in the development of evidence in support of the Company's revenue requirement and regulatory rate applications.
- Participate in meeting legal, regulatory and market rules requirements by developing information related to outsourcing strategies, policies and standards.
- Work with facilities outsourcing service providers and key stakeholders to foster and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure day to day facilities needs are addressed by the facilities outsourcing service provider to the terms of the contract.
- Responsible for implementation of workplace strategies and plans including the development of Capital Projects.
Requirements
- Requires a knowledge of computer science in order to design and implement complex information technology systems, provide business processes and improvements, consulting and support services, strategic planning and consultation on information assets and to develop policies, strategies and plans.
- Requires a good knowledge of English to effectively communicate with others and provide effective presentations and prepare technical reports.
- Requires experience with new and existing information technology products and services.
- Requires an understanding of business processes, their application.
- Requires experience within the Company's architectures and standards for information technologies, applications and data.
- Requires experience with the operational aspects of the business and the application and requirements of computer technology.
- Requires strong leadership skills to effectively lead, manage and facilitate teams.
- Requires a thorough understanding of the Company's objectives and how these are to relate to the implementation and use of technology products and solution.
- A period of over 10 years and up to and including 12 years is considered necessary to gain this experience.

Job Function
- The Manager, Facility Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight of the execution of enterprise wide facility operations across Hydro One's diverse portfolio of administrative, operational, and critical infrastructure facilities.
- This position oversees outsourced facility management partners and service providers, driving operational excellence through strong vendor governance, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- This role serves as a key escalation point for complex operational, contractual, financial, labour relations, and stakeholder issues, balancing risk management with customer service and business needs.

- CAD 110,500.00 143,000.00 / year
