Responsibilities
- Lead product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for payment API standardization across ScotiaConnect API platform
- Define global product standards and requirements for payment APIs to promote consistency, reuse, and scalability
- Partner with country product teams to balance global platform standards with local regulatory and market requirements
- Assess market trends, client needs, and platform gaps to identify opportunities for new API capabilities
- Develop business cases, investment recommendations, and value based prioritization
- Own core product deliverables including roadmaps, backlogs, epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including Product, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Design, Operations, and Risk
- Prioritize initiatives by weighing client value, business outcomes, technical feasibility, and risk
- Define and monitor product success measures including adoption, usage, and business impact
- Support launch planning, stakeholder communications, post launch optimization, and lifecycle management
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or digital product delivery within financial services, banking, or technology
- Experience with payments, transaction banking, treasury management, or digital banking products
- Experience managing API based products, platform capabilities, or integration services
- Experience delivering products through full lifecycle including strategy, discovery, roadmap, delivery, launch, and optimization
- Experience managing product artifacts such as roadmaps, backlogs, epics, user stories, and KPIs
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Experience with corporate payments, cross border payments, real time payments, or ISO 20022 (preferred)
- Spanish language proficiency (preferred)

- Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is the payments and transaction engine of Scotiabank.
- Supports Small Business, Commercial and Corporate clients with treasury management solutions.
- GTB is advancing how corporate and commercial clients connect, transact, and manage payments through digital channels.
What You’ll Do:

- Experience working with global or multi country products.
- Experience preparing business cases and using product metrics.
- Agile, Product Owner, payments, API, or related certifications are an asset.
- Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
