- Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
- Monitor key economic developments locally, regionally, and globally and provide critical summaries
- Provide technical advice in economics to support sector employees
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics or an adjacent field including policy, finance, and data science
- Work experience in Ministries of Finance, Central banks, international economic organizations, economic consulting, or similar
- Economic modeling skills including econometrics, macro economic flow of funds models, input output models, general equilibria
- General coding skills, with a preference for Python
- Advanced expertise in Excel

Objective

Essential Duties
- Conducting economic analyses at the macro and project levels to guide public policy and decisions
- Building and running economic and financial market models for forecasting and impact measurement
- Introducing new and cutting edge approaches in econometrics, machine learning, AI for economic modeling and forecasting
- Preparing reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
- Monitoring key economic developments locally, regionally, and globally and providing critical summaries
- Providing technical advice in economics to help sector employees carry out their roles
Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics or an adjacent field including policy, finance, and data science
- Work experience in Ministries of Finance, Central banks, international economic organizations, economic consulting, or similar
Skills
- Economic modeling including econometrics, macro economic flow of funds models, input output models, general equilibria
- Machine learning is also helpful
- General coding skills, with a preference for Python
- Other languages and programming frameworks such as R and Stata useful
- Advanced expertise in Excel
