Purpose

  • Contributes to the overall success of Scotia Global Asset Management (SGAM) Product Strategy in International Asset Management.
  • The Senior Manager, Business Initiatives will work closely with the Director, Product Strategy, Product and Asset Management Leaders and a diverse set of stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Support SGAM International Product Strategy initiatives; engage Product teams in Canada and Countries as well as senior asset management leadership.
  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring deliverables are met with a high degree of effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Director, Product Strategy to support core activities such as business planning, reporting, communications and presentation development.
  • Lead the preparation of executive reporting, including project status summaries, milestone dashboards, risk and issue updates, and executive commentary.
  • Coordinate reporting deliverables by liaising with leadership and deliverable owners across functions.
  • Manage KPI reporting for all the initiatives, including the development of KPIs and tracking of progress.
  • Act as a key liaison for different stakeholders, enterprise strategy teams and various committees.
  • Assist the Director, Product Strategy with coordinating steering committee meetings and track and manage action items.
  • Track all SGAM, International Product Strategy annual goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Product Strategy in planning and delivery of executive leadership offsite meetings.
  • Facilitate working sessions with stakeholders across GWM and the Bank to advance strategic initiatives.
  • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies with the ability to apply Agile principles to planning, execution, and iterative delivery.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability in dynamic and changing environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and planning capabilities.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; foster collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Trusted partner to senior management, business lines and cross functional teams.
